So what is the difference, then, between a solid door and other kinds of doors? Do they mean solid as in well made or solid as in solid materials inside? Can anyone help me out here?

It would apply to both, I would assume. There are screen doors and hollow doors that are for interior spaces that I guess would not be considered solid. Maybe that is what this means here.
